*~ Happy Sunday ~*

Hey Y’ALL !!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I know in my house we are spending some quality family time together. I am hoping today will be a lazy Sunday!

This week is yet another busy week here in our house. Our tournments start tomorrow night for softball and Tuesday night we have to work concessions….that shall be fun. Also, I have to go and pick up my step son, which I have never picked him up by myself. I hope there is no drama.

I know also this week I have to catch up on my house work. Where we have been go, go, go I am so far behind.

This week I have a lot of stuff planned for blog post, so please look out for more reviews and I think this week is when I am retesting products from the bad bin of makeup before I throw or give everything away! I am curious if my opinion has changed on any of the products!

Well, sorry this is a short post, but I am ready for bed! I am writing this post right before midnight and I am ready to knock out.

Thanks for reading,

**~** July Goals **~**

Hey Y’ALL !!!

It’s JULY!!!! We are moving on to the second half of the year. This year has gone by super fast, but last month I felt like it finally slowed down, maybe because I was so busy.

Last month I set my goals and then bam, I forgot all about my goals in my busy, busy life of mine. This month I am not going to let that happen. I am going to set my goals and accomplish them. Please readers, if you see me slacking call me out!! I won’t be ass busy this month because I will only be watching my nieces and nephews 2 days a week, plus we will only have tournament season with softball. This month there is a lot to look forward to because we are going on some mini vacations, if not a week long vacation.

Anyways…..let get started with these goals!!

*** July Goals ***

1. Daily Devotion

I have to get my relationship with God right again. I have to start doing my daily devotion and I have to get back into going to church.

2. Read 2 books!

This was one of my goals last month that I totally failed on! I want to get back into reading again. I use to read all the time and then one day I just stopped. I need to see which books are out there and find one and start reading on it ASAP!

3. Stress Less and Worry Less

Yes, there has been so much going on that I have been so stressed and so worried that I need to let it all go and let God handle it. I keep telling myself everything happens for a reason!

4. Plank 30-Day Challenge

Last month I wanted to do 4 different 30-Day challenges at once, of course after the first couple of days it went down the drain quickly. With 5-6 kids in your house all week, it is hard to focus on everything at one. This month I want to do the plank challenge.

I don’t want to set to many goals for myself this month because it is going to be another busy, busy month.

What are some of y’alls goals for this month?

*~* June Wrap-Up & Favorites *~*

Hey Y’ALL

First of all I wanna say I am so sorry I haven’t posted anything these past view days. My life has been really busy and with everything going on I had to take a break at some point during the days for myself.

It’s sadly the end of the month. We are half way through with the year. Where has the time gone? I am excited about July though. We are going to take a family vacation and maybe a couples weekend trip, but for the 4th of July we rented a pontoon for the family and we are spending the day on the water.

This month’s wrap-up is probably going to be short. I am going to be honest I have been so busy this month, I totally didn’t pay attention to my goals. I let them fall away from me. On the days I wasn’t busy, I just wanted to relaxed and just rest up. This heat is taken a lot out of everyone. I went most of the month without even wearing makeup. There were so many products I wanted to test out and try that next month here on my blog, that is mainly  what my blog will be, products I have been wanting to test out.

I feel so bad though not focusing on any of my goals, not even one. I did so good in the month of May, I really thought I had it in the month of June. I guess I didn’t take in effect that school was going to be out and I would be entertaining a house full of kids. For the month of July, I am going to set some realistic goals for myself.

Because I didn’t have a lot of favorites this month because I have hardly wore makeup, I decided to combine this month’s favorites with the Wrap-Up.

I have to admit I haven’t wore makeup a lot this month. With it being hot, I just feel like it is all just going to melt off when I go outside. Plus, every single day this month my house has been full of kiddos and it is hard to get ready when you have to make sure they aren’t killing each other! I did end up finding some favorites this month!

~* June Favorites *~

* Covergirl Peach Highlighter *

First of all this smells so good! Since I have tested out this product and reviewed it (~*~ Covergirl….It smells like Peach ~*~), I have wore this. It just gives you that glow that isn’t to blinding, it is just right for the summer. It does look like little pieces of glitter on your face, but with this product I don’t mind it. The only downside to this product is, it is dusty. You have to make sure you tap the excess off of your brush. I can’ wait to try the chocolate covergirl products!

* Covergirl Peach Blush *

There are 2 different ones, there is a lighter color one and a darker one. I love the darker colored blush. These are very pigmented! You have to use a light hand with these blushes. These are also dusty like the highlighter and you have to make sure you tap the excess off.

How did y’alls month go? Did you achieve everything you wanted to achieve?

Please don’t forget to like this post and follow my blog…(I promise my monthly wrap-ups are usually more insightful).

*~* June Goal Update *~*

Hey Y’ALL

I can’t believe we are half way through the month of June. It has flown by.

I am going to be straight up honest to beginning with. I am seriously failing this month on my goals. I was suppose to start my 30 day goal challenge, my daily devotions, and reading, but I am failing. Every single day my house is full of children from the age of 2 on up to 12. Every single day I am just wore out. Once my house is quite I just want to lay down and go to sleep. Half the time I am out in no time. I know life gets busy and goals get over looked, but I seriously thought this month I would have it. Last month I achieved all of my goals, but school was still in session. I really feel bad.

Even though I feel bad, I am looking at the bigger picture. Even though I only done a couple of days of my 30 day challenge, I am still walking every day. I still haven’t had no soda (which I am no longer craving). I still want to find time to go to the library and check out a book and read.

How are y’alls June goals coming along? I hope better than mine.

*~* Our 2 year Wedding Anniversary *~*

Hey Y’ALL

Today I wanted to share a walk down memory lane with y’all! Today marks 2 years since I married my best friend! We have had our ups and downs, but it has been worth it.

I have known my husband for over 10 years and to be honest I use to dislike him. When I decided to move back home in 2015, we started seeing each other. Shortly, after I moved back he proposed. The rest is history. I love this man more than I can explain in words. he has taken care of me when I couldn’t take care of myself, he has taken care of my son, and he has seen me at my worst. I love him more and more each day. Happy 2 year anniversary and many, many, many more to come. I love you Micheal!

*~*Softball Life*~*

Hey Y’ALL!!

Happy Saturday!! The weather is nice here (minus it being hot) and we have lots of plans today. I hope everyone is going to be out enjoying this nice weather. We have a busy day with our niece’s softball game, our softball practice, and then back to the strip. It rain last weekend so the antique cars couldn’t make it out, so they are having it again this week. I think we are going to ride the strip a lil bit, but take chairs this time to sit and watch mostly.

Last night we had our “First” game of the season. We lost, we got our butt kicked!! Yep, our team needs work. We have a pretty great team, but they are going to have to want to be a TEAM. Some of them have to learn there are no “I” in team. Also, we have a player we have to talk to about being nice to our other team members. Kids can be so mean these days. I think we are going to practice today and then Tuesday. Our next game is next Friday….wish us luck.

Today, we are going out to another ball field to help my brother. He is our assistant coach where we play at, but his girls play somewhere else and he coaches their team. My husband helps him out and of course, I get to hang with my 2 year old nephew. Plus, a friend runs ball out there and we told him we would help him anyway we can when he needs it.

CT272DH-2

I feel like now days we live and breathe softball. My husband wanted to coach and I said okay, if that is what you want to do go for it and then his mom sponsored us. I didn’t realize how much I would be involved in it. I am the one that keeps everything organized, contact parents about games and practices, plus standing in the dug out with them. I am also in charge of the batter line up making sure we have the correct batter going up when it is their turn. I remember telling my husband last year that, if he wanted Zander our son to play softball it was his thing. I did karate with him, I did my time, lol….but I guess it didn’t stick this year. I love being able to support my husband in wanting to coach and supporting my son playing sports.  Not a lot of parents get to do that. Plus, I use to be a preschool teacher and I love working with kids (that is why my house is always full of kids), it gives me a chance to do something I love…minus they are older kids.

~*Blog Changes*~

Hey Y’All

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday.  I am working on my cleaning list for this week, which thankfully I am almost done with it. I am excited because my sister is bringing over her BIG Boxer tonight and I get to doggie sit for her. I am nervous a lil because my dogs inside are so much smaller, minus our Blue Heeler (which may be pregnant), but he knows her because my sister has watched her before. I have to hide my rabbit from him because he has killed rabbits before and mine lives in the house. Harley runs around, she is house trained (most people don’t know rabbits can be trained). I will end up putting her cage in my bedroom. This morning she beat up my dog Gunner….for some odd reason she just hates him, but loves our smaller dog Heaven (but she was raised with Heaven).

Anyways, I wanted to let everyone know that there will be changes coming to my blog this week. I have decided not to only focus my blog just on beauty. I will be adding just everyday things, mainly lifestyle to it (I will still post about makeup and review products for y’all). As I thought about it my blog is called Southern Beauty and there is beauty in everything around us, not just in makeup….It is on everyday life, every minute, and every second of the day. I will also be looking at changing my theme also. Maybe just a whole site change in general. The name Southern Beauty will stay the same though.

Thanks everyone for following my blog, liking my post, and reading my post every time I post.

Thanks,

Dana
