*~* Highlighter Showdown *~*

Hey Y’ALL!!

It’s Saturday!! It has been a very long week here. We have decluttered the whole house and got the yard back looking great. We even got our pool cleaned out and we are working on filling it this weekend. I am ready to relax, but I don’t see that happening soon. I just want a lazy day!!

As you can tell by the title, this weeks showdown is highlighters!! I don’t have a huge highlighter collection because once I find a highlighter I love, I usually just stick with it. I think most of these highlighters I have mentioned on my blog.

*~ Let the Showdown Begin ~*

* Milani Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette *

These are very pretty colors. I love this trio of colors. I mix them together sometimes. The only problem I have with this highlighter is that it does make the texture on your face show more, but I still use these. I still use them because they are so pretty.

* Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighters *

These are great highlighters. That great thing is they are cheap. These last all day. I own different ones. My favorite though is the Precious Petals one. It is the perfect color. If you love highlighters, these are a must in your collection!

* Wet n Wild Megaglo Loose Highlighter Powder (Moon Tears) *

I don’t think you can buy this anymore. You may can search the internet and find where you can buy this one at. This is my ALL time favorite highlighter!! You can make it blinding or you can do a light hand and just give you that lil bit of glow you want.

* Sleek Makeup Highlighting Palette *

I got this in a holiday kit from Walgreens. I don’t use this palette much at all. I don’t really dig the colors in this palette. The colors are very pretty and they are very soft, but the colors are not for me. It does have one cream highlight in it. I have never wore the cream highlight alone, but I do use it as a base to the highlights in this palette when I use it, but honestly I haven’t picked up this palette in over 3 months.

What are some of  y’alls favorite highlighters?

*~* Milani Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette*~*

I hope everyone is having a great week. Today is the last full day of school here! I don’t think I am summer ready.

Talking about summer ready, I picked up a new highlighter palette that I have been testing. This is another product  I have mixed feelings about.

*~Milani Highlighter Trio Palette~*

I picked this highlighter palette up at Wal-Mart and I do believe it is under $10. I have seen many great reviews on this product and I wanted to try this trio out for myself. These three colors are gorgeous. For drugstore they give that amazing glow you want when you use a highlighter. My problem with it, I feel that it emphasizes my texture. On the left side of my face I have some texture and every time I use this, I notice that it really shows my texture. It is so gorgeous, that I keep using it, minus it does show my texture so much more. I would recommend this product, if you do not have texture on your face.

Have y’all used this highlighter? If so, what are y’alls thoughts on it.

~* Latest in Lips….Walmart beauty*~

I hope everyone had a great weekend. This is the last week of school here this week. Well, they go 4 days and Friday we go and pick up their report cards. I am planning a special day for my son Friday. We are going to have a mom and son day.

This weekend when I was in Wal-Mart I noticed their beauty boxes they had out went on sale. They were $9.88, but they had them on clearance for $7. I decided to pick up the Latest in Lips one. They have a highlighter one, a hair one, and I wanna say a skincare one. I may go back and get the others because they had a lot left.

As you can see everything is full size, minus the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Gloss. It says on the box it is a $38 value, so for $7 bucks, I am winning on this one. It contains  different lip products and it has the theme Nude Attitude.

It contains:

  • Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme

  • Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme

  • Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink

  • Hard Candy Plumping Lip Gloss

  • L’Oreal Infallible Matte Gloss

  • ELF Lip Exfoliator

If y’all see these at y’alls Wal-Mart, I would recommend grabbing this box, it is well worth the money. I haven’t used some of the products in here before, but I will be putting them to the test very soon.

~Milani Eyeshadow Review~

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Wednesday. Today was a lazy day for me. I took a nap this morning because I couldn’t get going at all. I just felt blah today.

Anyways, this is a review I have been wanting to do forever. I have had this for a couple of months and they were really hard to find in my Wal-Mart. These palettes were the first eyeshadows I have ever used from Milani, so I cannot compare them to their smaller eyeshadow palettes that they have.

Both of these palettes are $14.97 each @ Wal-Mart or you can get them on the Milani website for $19.99 each. The each have 12 eyeshadow colors in each palette.

*~Milani Bold Obsessions Palette~*

This palette contains both matte and shimmers in them. The shimmers are beautiful, but they do have fall out. The mattes don’t have nearly as much fall out in the palette as the shimmers do. I really do like this palette and I think it is worth the Wal-Mart price. I couldn’t imagine paying Milani’s price on their website for it.

*~ Milani Mosted Loved Mattes~*

This palette came out at the right time. When I bought this palette I was looking for an all matte palette. This is a great palette also. The colors blend great together and they also work great with the colors in the other palette. This one is also worth the money.

I really love these palettes. They are travel size, you can make several different eyeshadow looks with these, and they also have a nice mirror in them. Both palettes are worth the money.

I think Milani makes great products and once again they have nailed it.

Which Milani products do y’all use? Have y’all tried these palettes?

Valentine’s Day Makeup Look (All Drugstore) :)

Yep, it is that time of the year again….Valentine’s Day is just next week (wow this year is flying by). I decided that I wanted to do a valentine’s day look for y’all. I debated exactly how I wanted to do it. I thought valentine’s look under $20, under $50, but then I just decided on a look that was just all drugstore. I wanted to make it where if you seen a product you like/love you could go out and get it. Plus, it was important to me to use products that were affordable (like always). Remember, you do not have to have the same products to redo this valentine’s day look. Use the products you love and that you feel comfortable with. I will list all the products, their prices, and where you can find them below.

With my eyes I wanted to make a look that you can wear day or night for Valentine’s Day. You can view the eye look in the pictures below.

  • Eyeliner Rimmel Nude Pencil (waterline on the bottom) – $3.97 @ Wal-Mart
  • L’Oreal Lash Paradise – $8.97 @ Wal-Mart

When choose products, I wanted products that were reasonable priced, plus knew that would last all day.

  • Maybelline Baby Skin Primer – $5.94 @ Wal-Mart
  • Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Matte and Poreless, shade: 112) – $5.94 @ Wal-Mart

  • Maybelline Total Temptation Brow (Shade: 310) – $6.94 @ Wal-Mart
  • Setting Spray Physician’s Formula InstaReady- $11.63 Wal-Mart

  • Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner (Shade: 070) – $4.76 @ Wal-Mart

What day is today? First Impressions FRIDAY!!

When I started my blog last week, I was excited to start first impression’s Friday. This week I went back and forth on what new products I wanted to try. Well…yesterday when I went shopping for today, I decided to pick up the Milani 2-in-1 foundation + concealer and I also picked up L’Oreal Lash Paradise.

Let’s start off with the foundation……

Price: $8.97 at Walmart

This is a foundation I have never used before, so I figured it would be perfect for me to try. I am in the color Light natural and it was the right color for my skin tone. After my dry skin problem yesterday, I wasn’t going to try this foundation today and wait till next week, but I couldn’t resist today. It is a full coverage foundation. Even though it is also a concealer, I still used a concealer to highlight, but not to cover up any blemishes because I wanted to see if the foundation would last all day and keep blemishes cover. It went on great, it blended well, I prefer a foundation brush and that is what I used to apply the foundation. My first thoughts is, it is a foundation I would use again. I will see how it wears during the day, but so far so good.

L’Oreal Last Paradise

Price: $9.99 at Walgreens

This is a product I have had my eyes on for awhile. I live in a small town and it was hard to find this item in stock because I am limited to where I can buy makeup in my town. My local Walmart doesn’t even carry this product. I am always am looking for a great mascara because I don’t wear fake lashes and I want my lashes to be long and beautiful. I have only heard great things about this mascara. Of course I only used it on my top lashes (wanted to state that because I will post a picture of my look today). This is a mascara that does give me the volume I want with my lashes. I would use this everyday, I just want to make sure it does not flack on me during the day.

This is my finished look for today. FYI I use my cell phone to take my pictures. My goal with my blog is to be real with no editing my pictures no smell lighting. I want to be real with y’all.

What products do y’all think I should try?
