~*~ Maybelline Superstay Stick Foundation ~*~

Hey Y’all!!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We are still recovering. We spent the day on the water and yesterday we had to drive 3 hours away to pick up a Jeep we decided to buy. I am hoping today is spent relaxing.

I was so excited when Maybelline came out with their 24 hours Superstay foundation. I tested it and I have a love hate relationship with it. Maybelline has recently came out with the Superstay stick foundation. I have only used one other stick foundation and that was the Maybelline Fit Me foundation stick and I hated it, but I wanted to give this foundation stick a go.

Price: $9.98 @ Wal-Mart

I got three different shades because it says you can conceal and contour with these also. I wanted to test to see if it actually worked with concealing and contouring. I have to say I like this foundation, it does okay. It looks good on the skin. I love using a sponge, but with this foundation, I use a brush. It blends so much better with a brush. You do have to add more I feel to get at least a medium coverage.

With using this to conceal and contour, I would pass. I tried to conceal my undereye and let me tell you, it creased so badly, it looked so awful. The contouring was okay, but I like powder to contour.

I feel that there is a huge down side to this foundation . As you can see below you do not get a lot of product. Also, the sponge on it, does not work at all. I feel that they would of reduced the price, if they left out the sponge or not put the sponge on and gave more product.

All and all, if you are using this foundation as a foundation, it is worth it. I wouldn’t use it to conceal or contour. It does last in the heat, which I was surprised. I would recommend this product.

Have y’all used this new foundation? If so, what are y’alls thoughts?

*~* Maybelline Lemonade Craze Eyeshadow Palette *~*

Hey Y’all !!

I have to tell you I am VERY excited to do this review! I have looked for this product in stores for a long time. I am not one of these that likes ordering eyeshadow palettes online because I want to see them in person before I buy them. I went to Wal-Mart one night and bam….there was the Maybelline Lemonade Craze eyeshadow palette.

* Maybelline Lemonade Craze *

Price: $10.98

I was really afraid because I wanted this palette so bad that it wouldn’t be that great. I have read some other reviews about this palette, but I wanted this palette for myself. I have to say I am in LOVE with this palette.  I always use a glitter primer for any shimmer shades, I haven’t tried to use them by themselves. You can build up these colors and you can do so many looks with this palette. We are planning a vacation and I am 99.9% sure this is going to be the palette I pack for vacation. These colors last all day also. If you use an eye primer they won’t crease at all. If you love eyeshadow like I do, this is a MUST  have eyeshadow palette to go in your collection.

*~* Foundation Showdown *~*

Y’all seem to be liking my showdown post, so this week I have decided to bring you a foundation showdown. I feel like over the past 6 months I have been trying foundations and there has been several hits and misses. There has been some I loved and a couple that I have mixed feelings over.

~* Let the Showdown Begin *~

~ Covergirl Healthy Elixir ~

Price: $9.98 @ Wal-Mart

I don’t use many Covergirl products, so if I buy covergirl… 1. I have seen a great review or 2. It caught my eye in the store. I decided to try this product months ago because I seen Casey Holmes talking about how great this product was. I love this foundation. I use it almost daily. It is a hydrating foundation, that is infused with vitamins. It is also a buildable foundation, which I love. With it being summer (well Spring), this is the perfect foundation because it has SPF 20! I highly recommend this foundation!

~ Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless ~

Price: $5.94 @ Wal-Mart

This is another drugstore foundation I am in love with. This foundation makes you look flawless. I use to use this one a lot till I got the Covergirl one. I also have the dewy one of the fit me, but I don’t like is as much as the matte and poreless. If you are on a budget I highly recommend this foundation!

~ Maybelline Superstay ~

Price: $11.99 @ Wal-Mart

When I first did a review on this foundation, I had a love/hate relationship with it. It was first grabbing at dry spots and then when I wore it again, it wore great. Honestly, I still have a love/hate relationship with this foundation. I wear it, but not often. Last time I wore it, it wore great, it does not last 24 hours, but one time I wore it, I couldn’t even touch my face without it moving around. I use the same primer with it. The only thing I can think of was my face was extra oily that day, I really don’t know. For the price, this foundation isn’t worth it. Buy the Maybelline Fit Me foundation, which is cheaper.

~ NYX Total Control Drop Foundation ~

Price: $13.99 @ Ulta

I bought this foundation back in November/December. I have only used this foundation 3 times. I hate this foundation. It takes forever to build up to the coverage and you can’t build it up to full coverage. It also grabs badly at every dry spot on your face. I cannot get a flawless finish with this foundation. What I usually do with this foundation is, if I have a foundation that is a little bit to dark I will put a couple of drops of this one in to lighten it up and it works great for that. I am debating about just going ahead and putting this in my bad bin were I can donate it to a friend.

~ Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ~

Price: $39.00 @ Ulta

This isn’t the first time I have talked about this foundation on my blog. I love this foundation. Any time I need my foundation to last all day, this is the foundation I use. I wear this on Saturday’s when I am at the ball field all day and I also wear it on game days when I have a busy day and then a ball game at night. This stays in place! I highly recommend this foundation!

What foundation do y’all recommend? What are some of y’alls favorite foundation?

~*Eyeliner Showdown*~

I have yet again decided to do a showdown post because every time I do one, it seems to be popular. Eyeliner is something I haven’t talked about a lot on my blog, so lets have an eyeliner showdown!!

*Let the Showdown Begin*

~ Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner in Black ~

This is my go to eyeliner for my water line. It took me forever to find an eyeliner that would work great in my water line. I didn’t want to have raccoon eyes from my eyeliner. I would highly recommend this eyeliner!

~ Maybelline Curvitude Eyeliner ~

I ended up buying this eyeliner when I was practicing on doing wing liner, I must say it didn’t disappoint. I love that it has the curve on it, makes it much easier to hold when doing your eyeliner.

~ Revlon ColorStay Exactify Liquid Eyeliner ~

I bought this just to try it because it looks like a mini pizza cutter. It is okay. The tip of it isn’t my favorite. I sometimes will use an eyeliner brush to put this eyeliner on. I like the eyeliner formula, but because of the tip I won’t buy this eyeliner again.

~ Wet N Wild Skinny Eyeliner ~

This tip is so tiny. This is great for getting your wing or if you want a thin like of eyeliner. I wouldn’t use this eyeliner for a full wing, it would take forever. You can use this to touch up your wing, which is what I do, it really helps. It is worth the money.

What are some of y’alls favorite eyeliners?

~* Latest in Lips….Walmart beauty*~

I hope everyone had a great weekend. This is the last week of school here this week. Well, they go 4 days and Friday we go and pick up their report cards. I am planning a special day for my son Friday. We are going to have a mom and son day.

This weekend when I was in Wal-Mart I noticed their beauty boxes they had out went on sale. They were $9.88, but they had them on clearance for $7. I decided to pick up the Latest in Lips one. They have a highlighter one, a hair one, and I wanna say a skincare one. I may go back and get the others because they had a lot left.

As you can see everything is full size, minus the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Gloss. It says on the box it is a $38 value, so for $7 bucks, I am winning on this one. It contains  different lip products and it has the theme Nude Attitude.

It contains:

  • Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme

  • Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme

  • Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink

  • Hard Candy Plumping Lip Gloss

  • L’Oreal Infallible Matte Gloss

  • ELF Lip Exfoliator

If y’all see these at y’alls Wal-Mart, I would recommend grabbing this box, it is well worth the money. I haven’t used some of the products in here before, but I will be putting them to the test very soon.

*~*Mascara Showdown*~*

I am trying to get back into the routine in posting my blog post early in the mornings for my followers. This week I have been slacking and posting at night.

The other day I had this great idea when putting on a mascara I ended up hating, having a mascara show down post. What mascaras do I love in my collection, what mascaras are okay in my collection, and what mascaras do I hate.

I have high end mascaras and I have drugstore mascaras. Some of these I have done reviews on here on my blog and others I haven’t reviewed on my blog. Now lets the showdown begin!!!

*Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara*

Price: $9.49 @ Ulta

*L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara*

Price: $9.99 @ Ulta

This mascara gets some love. I LOVE this mascara and it comes in waterproof. If you love wearing false lashes, you need this mascara because you won’t need them with this mascara. The only thing I hate about this mascara, I feel that this mascara does get messy when you take it in and out of the tube. Other than that this is a great mascara.

*Ulta Beauty Amped Lashes*

Price: $10.50 @ Ulta

I have mixed feelings about this mascara. I love how it makes my lashes look and it is clump free, but the wand seems cheap. When putting it back in the tube, the wand bends and I feel like it is going to break. It is a wetter mascara. The other day I was so made at it because of the wand and when I put it on my lashes, I was like grrrr I can’t throw it away because I like how it makes my lashes look. After I use this tube I won’t repurchase it again because of the wand and it is a wetter mascara.

*MAC False Lashes Extreme Black*

Price: $24.00 @ Ulta

As y’all can tell, I received this mascara in  I sample size. I have tried this out several times and I like how soft it makes my lashes feel, but there was a huge flaw in it that changed my opinion on this mascara. It is no where near waterproof. I have dry eyes and I have to use eye drops through out the day and this mascara RUNS like crazy. It is actually going in the trash. It is not worth the price, in my opinion….BYE, BYE mascara say hello to the trash.

*L’Oreal Voluminous X Fiber Mascara*

Price: $10.99 @ Ulta

I have reviewed this mascara on here before. This is another L’Oreal mascara I am in love with. I usually do not like fiber mascaras, but I love this one. I would highly recommend this mascara.

*Tarte Lights, Camera, Action 4-1 Mascara*

Price: $23.00 @ Ulta

This is another one I got in sample size. I love the packaging on this mascara. There is something about this mascara that I don’t like. It doesn’t do the job for me at all. This is another one that will be going in the trash. It is not worth the money in my opinion. My drugstore mascaras does a better job than this one. BYE, BYE mascara, Hello trash.

*Covergirl Clump Crusher*

Price: $7.99 @ Ulta

I always buy this is waterproof because this is one I use everyday. I only use this mascara on my bottle lashes. I hate having raccoon eyes and using this mascara on my bottom lashes avoids that all together. This mascara never does me wrong. I always keep backups on hand of this mascara.

*Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara*

Price: $23.00 @ Ulta

I think this is a mascara everyone has. Who doesn’t love this mascara. I have several samples of this mascara. After using my samples, I probably wouldn’t buy this again because it does the same thing as Lash Paradise does, but I do love this mascara.

I hope y’all have enjoyed this mascara showdown! What are some of y’alls favorite mascara’s?

~*~Out with the Old, In with the New~*~

Happy Wednesday!!

We are half way through this week and I hope all is well with everyone.

We all have those products that we love for a moment and then we find something new, something better. It happens with anything in life. Some of the products I have reviewed on my here on my blog others I haven’t.

~Out with the Old: Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer~

Price: $7.94 @ Wal-Mart

This use to be my go to concealer. It is a great concealer, it hides your dark circle and conceals those areas we all need concealing at some point. I use to go through this like crazy because you don’t really get much in it. It doesn’t last that long especially when you use it every single day, but sadly I will not be repurchasing this concealer after I finish what I have.

~In with the New: Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer~

Price: $5.99 @ Ulta

I just recently made a post about this concealer (~New Favorite Drugstore Concealer~), I am in love with this concealer. It is my new favorite and I use it daily of course. It is also cheaper than the Maybelline Age Rewind. Not only is it cheaper and better than the Maybelline Age Rewind, you also get more product, which is always great.

~Out with the Old: Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer~

Price: $5.94 @ Wal-Mart

I just realized here goes another Maybelline product I won’t be buying again. This is another product I use to use daily in my “T Zone” to minimize the appearance of my pores, but I have found a WAYYYY better product that is my new favorite primer for my “T Zone”. I have nothing against the Maybelline Baby Skin, but I won’t purchase it again.

~In with the New: Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Instant-Perfecting Power Primer~

Price: $14.00 @ Ulta

Yes, the downfall to this primer is so much more expensive than the Maybelline Baby Skin, but I am telling y’all it is so much better. I use this daily in my “T Zone” to minimize the look of my pores. It leaves my skin so smooth and it does wear under makeup better than the Maybelline Baby Skin.  You do get more with the Soap and Glory, you get 1 fl oz and with Maybelline you only get 0.67 fl oz.

What products have y’all loved once upon a time, but ended up finding something better?

~*~Cream Eyeshadows…Why are they the best?~*~

Hey Y’all

It’s Friday!! We have all once again survived the week. Today I am going to paint my living room…fun fun. I am going to go with a rustic look because honestly that is what our decor is, but it doesn’t match the paint on the wall. It is like a barney purple and I can no longer look at it.

Today, I wanted talk about cream eyeshadows and why they are the best. Honestly, a lot of people do not know, but cream eyeshadows can be used for more than just eyeshadow.

I only own Revlon Colorstay cream eyeshadows, one Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow, and some ELF cream eyeshadows. I do not have many, but what I have I use weekly.

What I love about the Cream Eyeshadow I use!

  • Doesn’t crease
  • Blends well with each other
  • Last All Day
  • Easy and fast application

I cannot speak for other cream eyeshadows, but the ones I use are amazing. Revlon has some great colors for spring and you can make a very easy Easter look. I like that if I am in a hurry I can just throw on some cream eyeshadow and go. It does not take long at all.

Cream eyeshadows don’t only  have to be used for just eyeshadow. I know I use them for a lot more.

What I use Cream Eyeshadow for!

  • Base for other eyeshadows: makes them last longer and it also makes the colors pop
  • Brow Highlight
  • Inner Corner Highlight

If I want my eyeshadows to last longer I will use a cream eyeshadow on top of my eye primer to help my eyeshadows, especially if it is one I want to wear, but I know it does not last that long.

Do y’all use cream eyeshadows? What cream eyeshadows do y’all use?

** Favorite DRUGSTORE Beauty Products**

Hey Y’all

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

I had several emails asking me to do my favorite drugstore products, after I made the post about my favorite high end products. As y’all can tell by my blog post, I use mostly drugstore products. I live in a small town and the nearest makeup store is over a hour away, unless you go to the drugstore to get it or Wal-mart….I mainly order stuff online. Plus, who doesn’t like when you find something high end quality for a drugstore price…right??

  • Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

Price: $13.23 @ Wal-Mart

Who doesn’t like this bronzer!! This is amazing. The smell, it is soft, and it blends easy. I haven’t used another bronzer since I bought this one. I don’t think I could cheat on this bronzer like that, lol.

  • Wet n Wild Highlighters

Price: $4.68 @ Wal-Mart

We all know Wet n Wild products can be questionable, but we all have to admit that they can come out with some pretty good highlighters. They live you with a GLOW. Plus, their new limited edition loose highlighter is amazing ( Wet n Wild has it going on when it comes to highlighters

  • Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless

Price: $5.94 @ Wal-Mart

This foundation is a must. I almost of the fit me dewy and smooth, but I like the matte and poreless better. It last all day on my skin, it does help minimize pores, and other products blend great on top of it. It gives you medium coverage and you can build it up to full coverage. If you are looking for a drugstore price foundation, this would be the one I recommend.

  • Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer

Price: $7.94 @ Wal-Mart

When I am not using my Tarte Shape Tape concealer, this is the concealer I am grabbing. Maybelline has really hit this concealer out of the park. It gives you full coverage without you looking cakey. This concealer goes great with the Maybelline Fit Me foundation. The tip is nice, but as you can tell in the picture it does get messy.

I didn’t add my favorite drugstore eyeshadows on this post because they deserve a post just for them. Don’t worry it should be up next week or maybe the end of this week.

What are y’all’s favorite drugstore makeup products?

Thanks for reading my blog, don’t forget to like my post and follow me.

Maybelline Total Temptation Shadow + Highlight Palette

The Maybelline Total Temptation shadow and highlight palette is part of their new line they have released this year. Right when this was in my Wal-Mart store I had to grab it……but only to be let down. Yep, you read it right it was a HUGE let down.

When I review products I want to give them a fair chance, I have given this palette many chances.

Looking at the swatches above, they look very pigmented, but when you applet then with a brush, you don’t get that much pigment on your eyes at all. The darker colors are also patchy. I really wasn’t expecting this bad of a palette from Maybelline. I LOVE Maybelline, I use many of their products. I wouldn’t recommend this palette at all to my followers. The only hope for this palette is the highlights, which to be honest I probably wouldn’t pull out this palette just for the highlights because I have so many other good highlighted to use.

Have y’all tried this palette? What are y’all opinions on it?
