~*Current Face Products*~

We have made it to Friday!! YAY!!! I have a busy day today. I have to go and pick up my color street strips, make a dollar tree run, and we have a softball game tonight. I still have to finish painting my kitchen.

I wanted to share with y’all some of my current face products that I haven’t reviewed yet on my blog, but I love them and use them daily.

~ CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir~

Price: $9.98 @ Wal-Mart

I don’t use many covergirl products, but I seen Casey Holmes always talking about this foundation. I just had to try it. This is my drugstore go to foundation now. It has sunscreen in it, which is a bonus to me. It is also oil free. This foundation last all day. I still have to blot like 1/2 thru my day, but the foundation does not move at all. If you are looking for a good drugstore foundation, I would recommend this foundation.

*Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder*

Price: $5.97 @ Wal-Mart

I think this is a face powder that everyone probably has in their makeup collection. For the price this is well worth it. It is great for baking your under eye area. After you get pass the smell, you are good to go. The smell reminds me of my Granny’s face powder she use to have in her bedroom. This can get messy, but I take the top off and dip my sponge or brush straight into the powder and it is less messy. The puff they comes with it I don’t like at all. This is a highly recommended face powder. It works like a high end face powder and it’s under $6.

~Covergirl Tru Blend Blush~

Price- $9.79 @ Walgreens

You can tell by the package this blush is really well loved. I really, really, love this blush. It blends perfectly. This is my go to blush I use, if I do not know what blush I want to wear for the day.

This is some of my current face products I have been stuck on this month. What are some of y’alls current face products?

~*Make Up For Ever Review*~

Hey Y’all!!

I’m back!! I want to give y’all an update before jumping into my Make Up For Ever review on some products. Up until recently I have been posting every day in March and I am going to try to keep on from here on out to keep that up, but there may be times when I do not have a post for the day. My husband and I decided to coach our son softball team this year, so I am going to be busy busy.

I wanted to do a review on 2 of the products I got in my Allure box last month. It was my first month getting the Allure box and I am slowly testing out the products I received. Today I decided to test out the Make Up For Ever foundation I received and also the Make Up For Ever lipstick I received.

~Make Up For Ever  Ultra HD Foundation~

Price: $43.00 (30 ml)

First, this shade was a little bit to dark for me, but I ended up making it work in the end. This is the sample size I was sent and I was not happy with the pump. It barely squirts out anything so it to awhile to get enough just to do one side of my face. This is suppose to be a buildable foundation and suppose to be a natural finish. I would have to say this foundation is very buildable to medium coverage. It applied nicely with a sponge. Today I was being slow at getting around, so I put on my makeup later than usual say 11 am (I usually put it on around 9 am). I normally have to blot around 3 pm….OMG with this foundation I looked like a total grease ball around 1 pm. After blotting 2 hours later bam, I was once a grease ball again. I have combo skin and this foundation did not work out for me. Maybe when my sky is on the drier side say winter time, it may work, but right now no.

Have y’all tried this foundation? If so, what are y’alls thoughts?

*Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Creme Lipstick: C211 Rose Wood*

Price: $22.00

This sample size was the cutest thing ever. it was so small, which I have lipstick samples smaller, but this sample size I just loved. This was the perfect color for me, I lean toward colors like this Rose Wood color. I am not one of these that says hey I am only wearing this color because it is a summer color or a fall color. If I want to wear a certain color I wear it, but this would be a great fall color. This did last most of the day with me eating and drinking. It went out so nice and smooth. I would buy the full size of this lipstick. If you haven’t tried this lipstick you need to.

~* Revlon Photoready insta-filter Foundation*~

Hey Y’all!!

Happy Sunday, I hope everyone has had a great relaxing weekend. We had a nice relaxing day. Unfortunately we miss church because I forgot to set my alarm and didn’t wake up till after 10 (I guess I was sleeping good).

Last night, I went to Walgreens for the first time in a month and I had to finally grab the new Revlon foundation. I have heard so many mixed reviews on it. I ended up with it because I have a $4 off coupon, which made it cheaper.

Revlon Photoready insta-filter Foundation

Price: $17.99 @ Walgreens

I know what y’all are probably thinking because I think the same thing. The price is WAYYYY to much for a drugstore foundation! I had a coupon (Thank God), for me to purchase this and do a review for y’all.

Revlon Claim’s:

  • Flawless Finish
  • Works for all skin types
  • Evens and smooths skin tone

This foundation does have a built in sponge for easy application. It is suppose to give you that Instagram look that you see everyone has on Instagram. To me in means in other words… is going to make you look like you used Photoshop on your picture (lol).

My thoughts:

  • The built in sponge is a HUGE NO!!
  • Does apply great with a sponge
  • Last about 6 hours
  • Does make you look flawless
  • When blotting foundation does come off.

When I first applied it, I did try to use the build in sponge on it. It just wasn’t working for me. It pulls at your skin, it leaves streaks, and you cannot blend it in at all with it. I did try to use a brush and that also left streaks, so I would recommend using a damp sponge with this foundation.

I do love the look that this foundation give me. It does make my skin look flawless, but when I started to get oily and I blotted, some of the foundation came off. It has been awhile since I have applied the foundation and it still looks okay, but not like it did. It started to break apart around the 6th hour mark.

Do I recommend this Foundation?

I can’t say I recommend this foundation at all because of the price. It is high for a drugstore foundation. I feel for it’s price that, it shouldn’t start breaking apart after wearing it for  hours. It should be lasting all day. It does make your skin look flawless (I will post a picture down below). If you are going to buy this product, I would wait for a coupon like I did or wait for a sale. This will be a foundation that I will wear when I don’t have a long day ahead of me or for a date night.

Have y’all use this foundation? If so what are y’alls thoughts on it?

** Favorite DRUGSTORE Beauty Products**

Hey Y’all

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

I had several emails asking me to do my favorite drugstore products, after I made the post about my favorite high end products. As y’all can tell by my blog post, I use mostly drugstore products. I live in a small town and the nearest makeup store is over a hour away, unless you go to the drugstore to get it or Wal-mart….I mainly order stuff online. Plus, who doesn’t like when you find something high end quality for a drugstore price…right??

  • Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

Price: $13.23 @ Wal-Mart

Who doesn’t like this bronzer!! This is amazing. The smell, it is soft, and it blends easy. I haven’t used another bronzer since I bought this one. I don’t think I could cheat on this bronzer like that, lol.

  • Wet n Wild Highlighters

Price: $4.68 @ Wal-Mart

We all know Wet n Wild products can be questionable, but we all have to admit that they can come out with some pretty good highlighters. They live you with a GLOW. Plus, their new limited edition loose highlighter is amazing ( Wet n Wild has it going on when it comes to highlighters

  • Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless

Price: $5.94 @ Wal-Mart

This foundation is a must. I almost of the fit me dewy and smooth, but I like the matte and poreless better. It last all day on my skin, it does help minimize pores, and other products blend great on top of it. It gives you medium coverage and you can build it up to full coverage. If you are looking for a drugstore price foundation, this would be the one I recommend.

  • Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer

Price: $7.94 @ Wal-Mart

When I am not using my Tarte Shape Tape concealer, this is the concealer I am grabbing. Maybelline has really hit this concealer out of the park. It gives you full coverage without you looking cakey. This concealer goes great with the Maybelline Fit Me foundation. The tip is nice, but as you can tell in the picture it does get messy.

I didn’t add my favorite drugstore eyeshadows on this post because they deserve a post just for them. Don’t worry it should be up next week or maybe the end of this week.

What are y’all’s favorite drugstore makeup products?

Maybelline SuperStay Foundation

Hey Y’All!!!  By now we have all heard about the new Maybelline Foundation, if you haven’t you can read about it here and you can see exactly what I think about it. The new Superstay Fill Coverage Foundation is supposed to be a 24-hour wear foundation with a flawless finish.  Is it really 24 hours? Just keep reading to find out….

I have a love hate relationship with this foundation. When I seen this foundation, I couldn’t wait for it to hit the store (I hate buying foundation online). The day my Wal-mart put it on their shelves I went and bought it. I have seen other reviews and mostly everyone stated it was oxidizing on their skin, so I grabbed a shade lighter….that was my first mistake. The first could of times I used it, it stuck to all of my dry patches on my skin (I have combo skin). It looked awful!! I was seriously heartbroken because I was so excited for this foundation to be released. After a month of debating I went out and bought a shade darker than I needed where I could mix it with the lighter shade I had to make my perfect shade…. Guess what it worked…..the shade was perfect. This is where the love hate relationship comes in at. It didn’t stick to any of my dry spots this time, I put it on and it looked great. I had no complaints (I used it on a day where I wasn’t leaving my house, just in case it looked awful again).

So is it a 24 hour foundation? In my personal use of it, NO!!! I got about 8 hours out of it before it started breaking apart and when I looked in the mirror all of the foundation was off of my nose. I was loving it till I looked in the mirror. I guess it will be a foundation I will wear when I won’t be having a long day. In all fairness I am going to give it one more test day though because I really wanna love it!!

My question is have any of y’all tried the new Maybelline foundation?? If so what are y’all thoughts on it? Did y’all have the same problem?
