*~ Walgreens Clearance ~*

Hey Y’ALL !!!

I have to say when I went to Walgreens for this clearance trip, it was a let down. I usually just go to Walgreens to look for the orange stickers. You never know what they are going to have on clearance. I try to go at least a couple times a month. Even though it was a let down I did find some things on clearance. img_8921All that caught my attention was these 4 items! Like I said it was a total bust, but I did get some deals!

* L’Oreal Infallible Paints Blush Palette *

Price: $16.99

Clearance Price: $8.49

I think this is the best deal I got. Once I seen this was on clearance I did grab it. It has 4 different blush colors in it. I can’t wait to try out these blushes.

* Revlon Colorstay Lipstick *

Price: $10.79

Clearance: $5.49

As you can see I ended up with 2 of these. They only had certain colors on sale. I have already tried them out and I know why they were on clearance. These feel really thick on your lips and not comfortable at all. It also bunches up in spots and looks patchy. I wouldn’t recommend these lipsticks, even at the clearance price.

* Covergirl Lipstick *

Price: $8.29

Clearance: $2.19

Also, on these there were only certain colors on clearance. I have yet tried this out yet. I will be testing this one out in the next couple of days!What makeup clearance items have y’all found at Walgreens or at other stores?Please don’t forget to like this post and follow my blog!Thanks for reading,sig

~* Covergirl Chocolate *~

Hey Y’all !!!

I am finally around to doing my review on the Covergirl Chocolate scented makeup. Last month I did a review on the Covergirl Peach scented makeup (~*~ Covergirl….It smells like Peach ~*~). I think scented makeup in the drugstore is awesome. it use to be only a high end makeup thing and now it isn’t.

~ Covergirl Chocolate Scented Eyeshadow Palette ~

Price: $9.96 @ Wal-Mart

If you have been following my blog, you know I love eyeshadow. The one thing that I feel has to look good is my eyeshadow, with this palette…my eyeshadow looked straight up like mud. All these colors are to dark to work together.

~ Covergirl Chocolate Highlight and Contour Palette~

Price: $9.96

img_8916

I am fair skin, but I do have a lil color this summer, but these highlights are to dark for me! These highlight colors will be great as a lid color with the eyeshadow palette. I don’t really like the contour shade also. It is to dark to be a contour shade for me.

This covergirl chocolate was very disappointing to me. I loved their peach punch eyeshadow and highlight. If you want to try their new line I would pass up on the chocolate.

Have y’all tried the new covergirl line? If so, what are y’alls thoughts?

~* Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation *~

Hey Y’all!!

I hope everyone is doing great. I know here I am so happy that this week is going to be semi relaxing. I am use to my house being full of kids all week and starting this week my nieces and nephews will only be over a couple times a week.

I have heard so much about this new Covergirl TruBlend Matte foundation. I have seen great reviews and I have seen bad reviews. I decided that I wanted to test it out myself. When I started considering testing this out, what made me decide to test it out was, I hardly have any matte foundation. It is the summer time and I need to find a good matte foundation were I am not looking all greasy all the time, with me sweating, my oils coming through, and a dewy foundation.

~ Covergirl TruBlend Matte Foundation ~

Price: $8.44 @ Wal-Mart

img_8865

I ended up with 2 different shades because I went a shade lighter because most of the reviews said that this foundation oxidizes, so I went a shade lighter. Well, it didn’t oxidize on me. I had to go back and get my correct shade. I decided to not to return the first one because I can use it in the colder months.

** Covergirl Claims **

  • 12 Hour Comfort Matte
  • Pore Minimizing
  • Oil Control
  • Transfer Resistant

It applied beautifully with a sponge. I never use a brush with my foundation, I am a sponge type of a girl. This foundation is also very buildable foundation. This foundation is going to give you a medium to full coverage.

I have to hand it to Covergirl, this foundation held up. When I wore this foundation, it was put to the test. It was over 90 degrees outside, my car overheated when I went into town, so I was sweating like crazy, and then we had a softball game that night. I hardly have any matte foundation because usually my oils come thru and bam, it isn’t a matte foundation anymore. This foundation actually controlled my oil!! I didn’t have to blot during the day, which I always have to do. I put this on around 9 am and I was going till close to midnight that day. Before the ball game, which was at 7 pm the foundation still looked okay. It was rubbing off of my nose, but that was about it. Before I took my makeup off around 11, I will tell you the foundation was done. It looked awful, but it was over the 12 hour mark. I think this foundation does great, but I don’t think it will last and look flawless for 12 hours, but it will look okay. I highly recommend this foundation.

Have y’all tried this new foundation? If so, tell me y’alls thoughts on it because I have heard so many mixed reviews, but it worked out great for me.

~*~ Covergirl….It smells like Peach ~*~

Hey Y’all!

It is just me or is every makeup brand coming out with makeup that smells like peaches and chocolate. I was shocked when I went into Wal-Mart and seen covergirl following along with this makeup trend. I know L’Oreal has released some, but I haven’t heard of covergirl. Well, I decided to go ahead and review their makeup that smells like peaches.

* Covergirl Peach Punch *

img_8689

They have an eyeshadow palette, 2 blushes, a highlighter, and then they have a trio with the highlighter, a blush, and a contour, but I didn’t get the trio. I was excited when I seen this! I just had to have this!

* Peach Punch Eyeshadow Palette *

Price: $9.97 @ Wal-Mart

These are such pretty colors. I don’t own no covergirl shadows, so I was basically going into this review not knowing how other covergirl eyeshadows preform.  With these colors you do have to build up the colors. These blend out perfect. They do have a lot of fall out within the palette, which I feel is the only downside to it. I did a whole eye look with this palette. The other thing is the shimmers, you are going to have to use them wet or use a glitter primer. I prefer a glitter primer. They wore all day. I was actually shocked. I didn’t have high hopes for these eyeshadows. Because these performed so well, I will go back and get the chocolate one.

* Peach Punch Blush *

Price: $6.94

These blushes are so pretty. One is a little bit darker than the other. I am first going to say, use a very light hand one these blushes. They are VERY pigmented and I wasn’t expecting that at all. They are both pretty summer colors! These also blend very well.

* Peach Punch Highlighter *

Price:n$6.94

img_8686

I think this is one on my top highlighters now! I love the look of this highlighter. It isn’t to boom in your face blinding someone, it is just right.

Have y’all seen the new covergirl products in y’alls stores? They also have a chocolate line I want to test out. These smell amazing!

*~* Foundation Showdown *~*

HEY Y’ALL!!

Y’all seem to be liking my showdown post, so this week I have decided to bring you a foundation showdown. I feel like over the past 6 months I have been trying foundations and there has been several hits and misses. There has been some I loved and a couple that I have mixed feelings over.

~* Let the Showdown Begin *~

~ Covergirl Healthy Elixir ~

Price: $9.98 @ Wal-Mart

img_8670

I don’t use many Covergirl products, so if I buy covergirl… 1. I have seen a great review or 2. It caught my eye in the store. I decided to try this product months ago because I seen Casey Holmes talking about how great this product was. I love this foundation. I use it almost daily. It is a hydrating foundation, that is infused with vitamins. It is also a buildable foundation, which I love. With it being summer (well Spring), this is the perfect foundation because it has SPF 20! I highly recommend this foundation!

~ Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless ~

Price: $5.94 @ Wal-Mart

img_8673

This is another drugstore foundation I am in love with. This foundation makes you look flawless. I use to use this one a lot till I got the Covergirl one. I also have the dewy one of the fit me, but I don’t like is as much as the matte and poreless. If you are on a budget I highly recommend this foundation!

~ Maybelline Superstay ~

Price: $11.99 @ Wal-Mart

img_8671

When I first did a review on this foundation, I had a love/hate relationship with it. It was first grabbing at dry spots and then when I wore it again, it wore great. Honestly, I still have a love/hate relationship with this foundation. I wear it, but not often. Last time I wore it, it wore great, it does not last 24 hours, but one time I wore it, I couldn’t even touch my face without it moving around. I use the same primer with it. The only thing I can think of was my face was extra oily that day, I really don’t know. For the price, this foundation isn’t worth it. Buy the Maybelline Fit Me foundation, which is cheaper.

~ NYX Total Control Drop Foundation ~

Price: $13.99 @ Ulta

img_8672

I bought this foundation back in November/December. I have only used this foundation 3 times. I hate this foundation. It takes forever to build up to the coverage and you can’t build it up to full coverage. It also grabs badly at every dry spot on your face. I cannot get a flawless finish with this foundation. What I usually do with this foundation is, if I have a foundation that is a little bit to dark I will put a couple of drops of this one in to lighten it up and it works great for that. I am debating about just going ahead and putting this in my bad bin were I can donate it to a friend.

~ Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ~

Price: $39.00 @ Ulta

img_8674

This isn’t the first time I have talked about this foundation on my blog. I love this foundation. Any time I need my foundation to last all day, this is the foundation I use. I wear this on Saturday’s when I am at the ball field all day and I also wear it on game days when I have a busy day and then a ball game at night. This stays in place! I highly recommend this foundation!

What foundation do y’all recommend? What are some of y’alls favorite foundation?

~*May Favorites*~

Hey Y’ALL

 I cannot believe that it’s the end of May! I can’t wait to go float the river and fish. I use to hate being on the water, but once I got with my husband I knew he loved the water and he got me use to it.

I have been loving so many products this month it was really hard to choose what needs to go on my favorite list. So I have decided the products I have been using the most will go on my favorites.

* The Big Happy Planner *

I got this planner near the end of last month. I felt with softball, school, and everything else that I needed a planner. I choose this one because it had everything I needed and you can buy and add pages. Mine didn’t start till July, but I bought a calendar expansion pack to make it work. I also bought the daily planner sheets to go in it. Every night I sit down and fill out the next day. It really helps me know what I need to do. I have a plan and it is wrote down.

* ELF Bronzer *

I got this bronzer back in December when ELF was having one of their sale events. I paid I wanna say 40 cents for it (I love their sales). I knew I would be able to wear it during the winter because it gives you that summer glow. I was digging through my draw one day and I seen it and I have used it almost everyday this month. I do feel that it didn’t have much product in it because was you can tell I have already hit pan. It is going to be gone in no time. I think you can get it at Wal-Mart for like $2.00.

* Covergirl Tru Blend Blush *

This is a item I have had for awhile, but kinda forgot about it because I have been trying other blushes. When I was digging around in my drawer when I found the bronzer, I also found this blush and I was like hey I need to start using this again. Once again this is another product I have been using almost every single day this month. I think it is the perfect summer color.

* YouVersion Bible App *

img_8231

If you are looking for a great Bible app…this one is it. You can look at different translations and find the translation you like. They have several different bible studies you can do. You can also highlight and go back to a verse. This is the app I use when I do my daily devotions.

What was some of y’alls favorites this month?

~*Current Face Products*~

Hey Y’ALL

We have made it to Friday!! YAY!!! I have a busy day today. I have to go and pick up my color street strips, make a dollar tree run, and we have a softball game tonight. I still have to finish painting my kitchen.

I wanted to share with y’all some of my current face products that I haven’t reviewed yet on my blog, but I love them and use them daily.

~ CoverGirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir~

Price: $9.98 @ Wal-Mart

img_7995

I don’t use many covergirl products, but I seen Casey Holmes always talking about this foundation. I just had to try it. This is my drugstore go to foundation now. It has sunscreen in it, which is a bonus to me. It is also oil free. This foundation last all day. I still have to blot like 1/2 thru my day, but the foundation does not move at all. If you are looking for a good drugstore foundation, I would recommend this foundation.

*Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder*

Price: $5.97 @ Wal-Mart

img_7994

I think this is a face powder that everyone probably has in their makeup collection. For the price this is well worth it. It is great for baking your under eye area. After you get pass the smell, you are good to go. The smell reminds me of my Granny’s face powder she use to have in her bedroom. This can get messy, but I take the top off and dip my sponge or brush straight into the powder and it is less messy. The puff they comes with it I don’t like at all. This is a highly recommended face powder. It works like a high end face powder and it’s under $6.

~Covergirl Tru Blend Blush~

Price- $9.79 @ Walgreens

img_7996

You can tell by the package this blush is really well loved. I really, really, love this blush. It blends perfectly. This is my go to blush I use, if I do not know what blush I want to wear for the day.

This is some of my current face products I have been stuck on this month. What are some of y’alls current face products?

*~*Mascara Showdown*~*

Hey Y’ALL

I am trying to get back into the routine in posting my blog post early in the mornings for my followers. This week I have been slacking and posting at night.

The other day I had this great idea when putting on a mascara I ended up hating, having a mascara show down post. What mascaras do I love in my collection, what mascaras are okay in my collection, and what mascaras do I hate.

I have high end mascaras and I have drugstore mascaras. Some of these I have done reviews on here on my blog and others I haven’t reviewed on my blog. Now lets the showdown begin!!!

*Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara*

Price: $9.49 @ Ulta

img_7958

*L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara*

Price: $9.99 @ Ulta

img_7962

This mascara gets some love. I LOVE this mascara and it comes in waterproof. If you love wearing false lashes, you need this mascara because you won’t need them with this mascara. The only thing I hate about this mascara, I feel that this mascara does get messy when you take it in and out of the tube. Other than that this is a great mascara.

*Ulta Beauty Amped Lashes*

Price: $10.50 @ Ulta

img_7959

I have mixed feelings about this mascara. I love how it makes my lashes look and it is clump free, but the wand seems cheap. When putting it back in the tube, the wand bends and I feel like it is going to break. It is a wetter mascara. The other day I was so made at it because of the wand and when I put it on my lashes, I was like grrrr I can’t throw it away because I like how it makes my lashes look. After I use this tube I won’t repurchase it again because of the wand and it is a wetter mascara.

*MAC False Lashes Extreme Black*

Price: $24.00 @ Ulta

img_7965

As y’all can tell, I received this mascara in  I sample size. I have tried this out several times and I like how soft it makes my lashes feel, but there was a huge flaw in it that changed my opinion on this mascara. It is no where near waterproof. I have dry eyes and I have to use eye drops through out the day and this mascara RUNS like crazy. It is actually going in the trash. It is not worth the price, in my opinion….BYE, BYE mascara say hello to the trash.

*L’Oreal Voluminous X Fiber Mascara*

Price: $10.99 @ Ulta

img_7960

I have reviewed this mascara on here before. This is another L’Oreal mascara I am in love with. I usually do not like fiber mascaras, but I love this one. I would highly recommend this mascara.

*Tarte Lights, Camera, Action 4-1 Mascara*

Price: $23.00 @ Ulta

img_7961

This is another one I got in sample size. I love the packaging on this mascara. There is something about this mascara that I don’t like. It doesn’t do the job for me at all. This is another one that will be going in the trash. It is not worth the money in my opinion. My drugstore mascaras does a better job than this one. BYE, BYE mascara, Hello trash.

*Covergirl Clump Crusher*

Price: $7.99 @ Ulta

img_7964

I always buy this is waterproof because this is one I use everyday. I only use this mascara on my bottle lashes. I hate having raccoon eyes and using this mascara on my bottom lashes avoids that all together. This mascara never does me wrong. I always keep backups on hand of this mascara.

*Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara*

Price: $23.00 @ Ulta

img_7963

I think this is a mascara everyone has. Who doesn’t love this mascara. I have several samples of this mascara. After using my samples, I probably wouldn’t buy this again because it does the same thing as Lash Paradise does, but I do love this mascara.

I hope y’all have enjoyed this mascara showdown! What are some of y’alls favorite mascara’s?

Please don’t forget to like my post and follow my blog. I have a goal of reaching 100 followers by the end of the month.
